We (Ben and Joyce Morris) are the founders of a new grouping of family kin’s domains that might be called a village, a community, a town or a neighborhood. On this blog we share our experiences of establishing and living in a kin’s domain/space of love. We also offer land to 12-15 families who wish to be a part of our family Charisma and wish to create their own kin’s domain/space of love here. We (Ben and Joyce) are retired and live on 80 acres of land (Charisma) in the foothills of southern Colorado on which we are building our private 3 acre domain and eventually a family village of 12-15+ other families who want to create and live in such a collective family as we have conceived and describe here.

Our original dream was just to establish a kin’s domain community in Colorado. We had a website about that for several years and moved to this land in 2013 to begin building the dream. We didn’t know that assembling a group of people to live together in an intentional community plan was the biggest task we would ever take on. Many people came here to join us or to get to know us in preparation for joining later. Over the past seven years we learned a LOT about the American social “program” and how it tends to destroy life and joy amongst people over the long haul, instead of create life and joy for the long haul together. We’ll talk more about that in a later blog post. This blog post is a presentation of our dreams to establish a unique kind of kin’s domain co-creation, specifically a family of families based on kin’s domain lifestyles.

On this site we’ll share our challenges, solutions, opportunities and results. If you are new to the concept of kin’s domains, it is first shown in the Ringing Cedars of Russia book series by Vladimir Megre (ten easy to read books –I read them in 11 days). The concept is that each family dreams and plans a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with all of life on approximately a hectare of land (2.5 acres). They each begin to build that dream on their hectare and gradually over time create and live an ever more sustainable lifestyle of beauty and harmony with life. The family’s private “domain” is their own personal expression of a lifestyle of beauty that is self-sustained by the land and life forms of their hectare. Each family re-forests 1/2 or more of their domain, puts in a pond or swimming pool, a living fence that circles the domain, and lives on the food grown on their domain specifically for their family’s optimal health and well-being. These domains are continually improved and passed from generation to generation. The lifestyle spreads when the children reared in this lifestyle begin to build their own multi-generational kin’s domains. With time man restores the earth to a state of beauty and health. We like this concept for ourselves but discovered that the majority of people who expressed interest in our dream still prefer the modern lifestyle over any kind of sustainable lifestyle based on love for Earth and all of life. This is true for our six grown children as well. But we still dream our dream with some modifications.

We looked up the word “community” in a dictionary: It has collective governing implications we didn’t like. It supports subtle limits of thought and growth in a group, which we didn’t like. In general, it does not describe the self-governed ever-growing relationships we see coming in Man’s next cycle. Similarly, the word “village” speaks only to size and rural-ness. So far we have no word to describe our dream of a collection of families united in the commitment to create a lifestyle of sustained common good for each other and all of life. So we have named our land Charisma and we think of it as a “place” for family, not a community or village or commune. It is something that we have not seen in our world but we long for it.

What is this dream for the place we call Charisma? It is a collection of families, each with a desire to create their own beautiful kin’s domain/space of love to the best of their ability. In addition to creating a private family kin’s domain, the families of Charisma share the following goals for living with the collective of families:
1) Continually strive collectively to co-create beauty in common spaces and a common lifestyle in harmony with all of life.
2) Establish, grow and maintain a collective business in harmony with all of life for all families or members who wish to participate.
3) Establish and maintain a new family-style of interactions with each other that is characterized by learning to
a) create and maintain feelings that support health, well-being, self-awareness and love of God-self in each,
b) create and maintain an interactive culture of support for individual and collective need fulfillment that never sacrifices one for the whole nor the whole for one.
c) create a collective lifestyle and culture that is self-sustaining throughout all future generations and supports growth of potential at all levels for each and for the larger family collective.

There are thousands of families in America who dream of building their own kin’s domain in a kin’s domain community and many thousands more in the world’s English speaking areas. By sharing our own dream and stories here we aim for facilitating more of that community’s transition to building and living many versions of the “Ringing Cedars” dream of beautifying the Earth with family kin’s domains. We also hope to be served by those other dreamers through their sharing of thoughts and ideas.
